Lifelong Links Coordinator – Self-Employed- Portsmouth

Are you experienced in working with young people and wanting to support care-experienced young people in developing lifelong support networks?

At Daybreak, a registered charity, we are looking for self-employed Lifelong Links Coordinators to join our teams.

We work with a team of self-employed Coordinators across the South of England and are actively seeking both Lifelong Links trained Coordinators and/or Coordinators with relevant experience who are prepared to undergo external, funded Lifelong Links training to join our service.

As a Lifelong Links Coordinator, you will facilitate a structured model designed by Family Rights Group to help care-experienced young people build lasting relationships with relatives and other supportive adults. Using specialised tools and techniques, you will identify, connect, and engage individuals who care about the child or young person. With your coordination, this network will come together to create a lifelong support plan, which will be integrated into the child’s care and pathway plans.

We are looking for skilled relational practitioners who can work with sensitivity and compassion, particularly with individuals who have experienced trauma or other adverse life experiences. This role also requires strong collaborative problem-solving skills to help overcome barriers and sustain positive relationships.

We are currently seeking Coordinators in both Portsmouth and Wiltshire.

  • We welcome applications from individuals with or without prior Lifelong Links training. However, having completed the training is considered desirable.

    • If you don’t have the training but have strong relevant experience, we still encourage you to apply.

    • Funded external training is available on [dates], and any successful candidate without previous training would need to attend. Interviews will be held before the training takes place.

  • Commitment to delivering high-quality work, every time

  • Strong facilitation skills, bringing people together and ensuring every voice is heard

  • Openness and honesty in all interactions

  • A creative and compassionate approach to working with young people
